First Attempt at Splatter Nails and it Actually Turned Out OK

I thought I'd try something different tonight.  And by different, I mean joining in on the 52 week challenge!  This week it's splatter nails, woooooo.  Following a tutorial I found on the webs, I layered the same four polishes I used last night in my striping attempt.  I AM DETERMINED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THESE COLOURS, DAMMIT.  As it turned out, they make a really good splatter!  I started with a base of the grey then splattered the coral, then teal and then the silver to top it off.  What a mess it makes though.  Woe betide anyone that doesn't clean off the polish on your fingers right away because it took forever to get off.  It still isn't cleaned up totally properly but I'm going to wreck it if I do more.

What do you think?

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?

31DC2014 Day 17: Glitter! AKA OH GOD THE CRUSHING PRESSURE

The challenge isn't going super well for me.  I could do it, but it's bringing up this whole complex mess of procrastination, pressure and something undefinable that makes me just want to avoid doing it.  I feel like I'm rebelling when I don't do a day.  Screw you Past Laura, you can't tell me what to do!  Add the pressure of choosing something for "Glitter", well, that's clearly not going to be done on time.  It's late, but look, rainbows!

NEON FLOWER EYE MELTY GOODNESS

Alrighty!  So I recently got a hold of some very interesting flower glitter as a sample for the shop.  In the past I've stayed away because I've found it really hard to work with because it either won't lay flat or it's too thick or it sticks up or something, and generally just hasn't really been worth it.  UNTIL NOW.  Now, not only is this glitter thin enough to behave it also literally explodes under blacklight.  LOOK AT IT.  Makes me want to carry around my blacklight bulb all the time...more....
