Long Cat Nails!

When someone visits my apartment, if they sit still for more than about five minutes I'm going to paint their nails.  It's inevitable.  I'll get a guy one of these days... Anyway, I had my nice friend Erica around the other day and because she does amazing work painting intricate shoes, I instead bribe her to actually paint my nails.  She did a great rocket cat themed mani for me earlier in the year so of course the next logical progression is Long Cat.  That looks like my cat.  Yeesssss

Teeny Tiny Glitter Quilted Nails

You guys know I'm a little bit cray about glitter by now so I'll spare you the defensive excuses-so-you-don't-judge-me bit and move straight to the glitter.  Because holy crap, look at this glitter would you.  I ordered some new glitter from LoveNailz  and just *die*.  I got a whole mess of glitter but the ones that really stood out for me were the tiny holo squares in red, blue, purple and pink.  I had some free time the other day and knew I had to use this glitter, to its full potential.  I think I did that.

I've Got Neon, Holo, Zig-zags, Half Moons and Studs in the One Mani, Yay!

I was contacted a little while ago from Iona from StickyNails Nail Stencils about trying a new product she was working on.  I like to try new things so I gave her custom nail decals/stencils a shot and look!  Her package included a few different patterns of nail stickers but I'm always partial to a good chevron or zig zag so after pulling out the brightest colour combination I could find - Claire's Neon Orange and Pretty & Polished Boombox - I went to work.

Review: Sally Hansen Gel Nail Strips in Perfect Poison

When I get paid, I find it extraordinarily hard not to just blow money on toys.  Preferably nail toys.  Because that way I can justify it as being for my blog!  Anyway, I've been looking at the Sally Hansen Gel Nail Strips for a while now and when there were on sale at Shoppers the other day, I couldn't resist.  Full disclosure: I tried these around Christmas just gone and they didn't even last a full day.  I had a feeling I did it wrong - I was in a hotel room without all my supplies - so I thought I'd give it another chance, with some fancier nail polish strips, this time in Perfect Poison.  I'm actually going to do this: there's a twist to these pictures...

More Circle Glitter! Because I Can!

I can't even write an intro here about how I can't write an intro about glitter any more because there's not much else to say because I've written that too.... let's just look at the sparklies, shall we?  I swear I'm not sick of doing this yet, let's hope you aren't either :)

Essie After School Boy Blazer with Red, Gold and Silver 3D Glitter Cubes!

Even though it's August, super excited about fall because that means new nail polish yayyyyy.  I went on a bit of a rampage at my local beauty supply store.  They have so many new dark blues, it hurts my brain.  Not the best considering I thought it would be fun to lay out all my nail polish on our dining table and it looks like this ... Anyway, it was the Reddit Toronto Monthly Meetup on Saturday so of course I had to do sparkly nails to maximise the attention I'd get.  Had to do cubes because they're the most sparkly.

Review: Lacquistry Amazeballs. Accurately named.

Guys, I don't really have words for the polish I received in the mail last week.  I've been getting better at tempering my expectations as it leads to less disappointment so when I saw pictures of Lacquistry Amazeballs I thought, well, it can't be that amazeballs.  Turns out, holy crapballs, I've never seen anything like it and everyone NEEDS this polish.  Just stalk Lacquistry on facebook til she posts more, cos just...look.

I Can Be Subtle Sometimes

If you've been here more than five seconds, or can even see the lovely background my friend Erica made for me, you can see I like sparkly, neon, bright, sparkly nails.  Makes my bank account sad because I buy so many things just because they're sparkly, but it makes me happy.  Very occasionally though, I like to go subtle.  So subtle you can't tell I spent a couple hours placing glitter on my nails.  Perversely, this also makes me happy because no one can tell from a distance how long this took.  They just look white.  YESSS.
