Three Nerd Lacquer Swatches!

So as I mentioned yesterday, I got a wonderful parcel in the mail. Three Nerd Lacquers, as well as Glitter Gal and Model's Own!  As I haven't seen much about then on the weber-tubes thus far, I thought I'd swatch out all the Nerd Lacquers and man are they purdy.  Let's walk through the pictures, shall we?

First up we have a lovely silver polish with both small and huge pieces of hex glitter.  This was so sparkly to put on, opaque by itself in two-ish coats and absolutely gorgeous.  The pictures don't do this justice, this is so sparkly and pretty.

Next up we have It's Just a Flesh Wound.  I don't think I've ever seen anything like this one before.  It's a black base with red small glitter pieces and large silver hexes.  It looks like some kind of alien battle armour on and I think it's my favourite.

Last but not least we have Cold & Calculating.  A lilac base with, funnily enough, silver glitter pieces both large and small.  Again, sparkly, pretty and I love a huge piece of glitter.

I'm just about to try out Pinky Brown from Model's Own, check back soon as I feel some stamping coming on.....

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the big...

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?
