Review: Urban Outfitters Dust

It's tricky, trying to decide on nails to do when you're to attend a networking event.  I want to simultaneously get a conversation started about my nails without being too in-your-face, given it was a tech social.  Of course, neon and glitter was a sensible choice!
I've reviewed both of these polishes separately before but I love them both so here they are again.  First up, my absolute favourite neon orange, Claire's Flames.  It applies really well, only needing two coats while not being streaky.  Next, a coat of the densely glitter-packed Urban Outfitters Dust, a grey glitter in a mix of micro and medium hexes.  The glitter combination just makes the nails look really shiny, always a plus.

The Verdict: Yay neon and glitter!  That's all I got, but all I need :)

The Polishes:

  • Claire's Flames, Claries
  • Urban Outfitters Dust, Urban Outfitters

  1. Looks a lot like Forever 21's Silver Sparkle nail polish.

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?

NEON FLOWER EYE MELTY GOODNESS

Alrighty!  So I recently got a hold of some very interesting flower glitter as a sample for the shop.  In the past I've stayed away because I've found it really hard to work with because it either won't lay flat or it's too thick or it sticks up or something, and generally just hasn't really been worth it.  UNTIL NOW.  Now, not only is this glitter thin enough to behave it also literally explodes under blacklight.  LOOK AT IT.  Makes me want to carry around my blacklight bulb all the time...more....

OMGWTFJSKDJSLDJ 24 COLOURS OF TEENY RAINBOW SQUARES AM DED

Ok! Long time no see, blah blah, look, new glitter!  CAN YOU EVEN WITH 24 DIFFERENT COLOURS OF 1MM SQUARES???!!? SPARKLY, SPARKLY SQUARES.  Seriously, the glitter is so sparkly and the squares nice and even, you can create even the most intricate patterns.  OMG I SHOULD DO MARIO.  Shh, pretend I didn't say that.  Anyway, shall we look at the newest glitter available at The Sparkly Shop?
