Review: Pam's Girly Bits Cosmic Ocean

Sometimes, you're just lucky with timing.  A couple of months ago I came across a couple reviews for Pam's Girly Bits polish and looked her up.  What do you know, she was accepting email orders just a few days later for some absolutely stunning polishes.  Sneaking an order in, I managed to pick up four of them and they really are something.  Let's take a look at one of her top coats, a beautiful duochrome shimmer, Cosmic Ocean.

Cosmic Ocean is nearly completely sheer on its own so I decided to layer it over two coats of American Apparel Passport Blue, rather than sticking to the same old black.  Man, I'm so glad I did as the effect is so stunning, it's beautiful.  Cosmic Ocean adds such a depth and subtle sparkle to a polish, I bet it would look amazing over everything.  Take a look at the close ups, you're going to want to see this.

The Verdict: Looks like that amazingly sparkly finish you see sometimes on skateboards or custom painted cars.  I love it and can't wait to try it on, say, neon yellow or something ridiculous.

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the big...

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?
