MEGA HAUL WITH FINGER PAINTS AHHHHH

AHH MAH GAHHD GUYS, NAIL MAILLLLLLLL!!!! My oh my did I get some wicked sick packages in the mail today!  First of all, let your eyes wander over the first picture below, see what you see.

If you said OMG THOSE ARE FINGER PAINTS SPECIAL EFFECTS YOU WOULD BE CORRECT!  The amazing Kitty at kittypolishnbags hooked me up with two of the best Special Effects, Asylum and Motley!  Move over IRL friends, you have competition!  Now, deep breaths Laura, you've exhausted your use of caps lock and exclamation marks for this post.

Anyway, I'm also really excited about the six polishes you see in the middle here, all from AllThatGlittersNails.  I took some close ups of these, let's take a look, shall we?

First up, Very Peacockish and Plum and Plummer (hur hur).  Both absolute glitter bombs, I can't wait to try the peacock one as there just seems to be so many different types of glitter in there.

Next, Metal Petal and Vinyl Junkie.  Look how interesting the purple one looks, with all it's black glitter.

Finally, Cha Cha Twist and Frantic Romantic.  These both look amazing, the former for the amazing colour combination and square red glitter and the latter for sparkly hearts.  Sooo excited.

And now, the piece de resistance, two Finger Paints Special Effects!  Motley on the left and Asylum on the right.  See how many colours there are in the latter?  Can't wait.  Thanks again Kitty <3<3

Finally, two other interesting colours from Kitty, a matte suede from Revlon in Ruby Ribbon and amazing lime green Laser Lime from China Glaze.  Soooo close to being holo.
The Verdict: I can't wait to try them all!  You'll be seeing these in the next few days, keep your eyes peeled (although not literally, that's gross :) )

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?

NEON FLOWER EYE MELTY GOODNESS

Alrighty!  So I recently got a hold of some very interesting flower glitter as a sample for the shop.  In the past I've stayed away because I've found it really hard to work with because it either won't lay flat or it's too thick or it sticks up or something, and generally just hasn't really been worth it.  UNTIL NOW.  Now, not only is this glitter thin enough to behave it also literally explodes under blacklight.  LOOK AT IT.  Makes me want to carry around my blacklight bulb all the time...more....

My Most Complex Rainbow Glitter Mosaic Yet

It's no secret that when I get bored, I troll ebay for glitter.  I set myself a $10 budget, search for "holo hex glitter" or something, sort by buy it now and lowest price + shipping and go nuts.  I got a new package in the mail today and turns out we all have different definitions of "rhombus" as my rhombus glitter was distinctly hexagonally shaped.  Whatever, it's an excuse to the most rainbowy nails I've ever done.  They're so sparkly they're actually casting little rainbows on my keyboard as I type this.  Sure, they took a long time to do but look how sparkly in these static images!
To start, I did my usual base, two coats of Rimmel Black Satin.  It cleans up well and doesn't do weird things to my glitter so it's a good base.  Then, using my usual technique and Sally Hansen Invisible top coat, I got to work with my glitter.  I've been having a lot of luck lately with starting with a column of glitter straight down the middle of …
