My. Entire. Collection

So a few people have been asking to see my collection.  Fun! though I, it can't possibly that bad! Well... I don't think there's much to say other than just to show you...

Balls. That's a lot of polish.

Pretty though, right?
I don't really know how I feel about this.  I actually counted and my brain tried to multiply that by the average cost but I'm definitely not really for that yet.  I love this blog, and always want to make sure I have new and interesting things to show you. I think if I just slow down, only buy polishes I absolutely love, I think I'll be ok.  In the mean time, back to the Helmer for all you lot!

On a happier note, let's take a look at some of the more unique close-ups.  If there's anything in there you can see you want to see closer, just let me know in the comments.

The Verdict: I HAVE A LOT OF NAIL POLISHES AND DIDN'T THINK THROUGH HAVING TO LABEL ALL THE PHOTOS.  Again, if there's something here you want to see swatched, I'd love help picking and I'll take all the close-ups you want.

Yay nail polish!

    1. The dots were supposed to help me keep track of what I had and hadn't swatched. Red for reviewed, yellow for not reviewed, green for new and blue for duplicate but it was too hard to keep up.

As for actually organising them, I keep them by brand in a Helmer. Now to find a way to get a second one without my bf getting all "oh y u have so many nail polishes" on me :D

    2. Oh dear, yeah it must be impossible- I don't have anywhere near as many polishes as you and I still find it hard!

I'm thinking of getting a Helmer too- my polishes are ok in my current drawers, but I can't open more than one drawer at a time without it toppling over!

Hmm, good luck with that... I'm sure he must have an expensive hobby you can trade off with?

  5. This is a crazy amount of polish! I think we, as commenters, need to rally for an online intervention.

Just kidding, this is her partner. If she doesn't ask me how much my expensive hobbies are I wont ask of hers :P

    1. Noooo you aren't supposed to read my blog! You're supposed to see that there's a set of drawers that has an amount of nail polish in it and never ask questions!

And yes, this is actually my partner. Say hi to the internet now!

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the biggest tag on y

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

All the ILNP Ultrachromes! Like Shiny Beetles!

Guess what guys, it's not glitter today!  Instead, I have the incredibly amazing ILNP Ultrachrome polishes to show you!  I saw a picture of these on the ILNP site and gasped out loud when I saw the colour shift.  I totally didn't sit for an hour at work, refreshing the page when the preorders went up.  That would be silly.  I was so excited when they arrived as they looked as amazing in the bottle as they did on the site.  I swatched each polish over black, took the photos, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the finish to a place where I was satisfied.  I'm sure it's something about the way I was applying it, but there would be little bumps or inconsistencies in the finish and it was annoying.  So I didn't post them.  I gave them another shot in a taped mani and YES THIS IS BETTER LOOK:
