The Culmination of Ten Iterations of Mosaic Nails

Well, I think I've done it everyone.  After a series of iterations on mermaid nails - now rechristened to Mosaic Nails as it fits better - I don't think it's physically possible to fit any more glitter on my nails!

Starting off, I added two coats of Sephora Drama Velvet Pearl, a vibrant sunset orange with gold shimmer.  This is almost pointless to mention as I then proceeded to cover it entirely in tiny pieces of silver holo glitter.  Let me tell you, this is the most time-consuming mosaic nail set I've ever done.  I don't even know how long this took except that I got a bit cross-eyed on my middle finger and had to go to bed.  If you're interested, instructions on how to do this are here.

The Verdict: SO SPARKLY I NEARLY DIED.  I'm also a little sad as where could I possibly take this?  I can't go any smaller with the glitter although I could start to build in patterns...Anyway, this even held up well, this is over 24 hours after applying as I had to stop after three nails.  I wanted to take these pictures in sunshine but silly Toronto weather.  THIS WILL NOT BE THE END, I WILL FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO WITH THIS, DAMMIT.

  1. Interesting! Maybe take the small glitter and do designs like swirls or spirals with it! Less time consuming, still pretty...?
