Review: A Glitter-splosion with Sephora It's Bouquet with Me and Essie Jamaica Me Crazy

I reeaaallllllllly should stop buying nail polish.  I've only been at this a couple months but my Helmer is already nearly full! I'm going to have to start hiding polish around the place as I'd get in trrrouuuble if I bought another drawer set.  Shame it's really hard when the lovely lady at my beauty supply place (TBBS in Toronto, if you're in the city) keeps giving me deals and there keep being spring colours all over the place :(  On that note, let's look at two new polishes I picked up over the weekend, Essie Jamaica Me Crazy and Sephora by OPI It's Bouquet with Me!  Yay for looking at the pretty colours, not bank accounts!

It may seem like I'm doing this backwards but I wanted to talk about It's Bouquet with Me first.  Omg do I love this glitter.  Tiny holo, silver and pink glitter in a purple-tinted base, it's so sparkly it will almost blind you, but in a way that you'd be ok with cos it's not a bad last sight to see.  Sephora by OPI has done some marvellous glitters lately, especially with colour and holo mixtures, and this is no exception.  This is two coats to maximise the chance of blindness.

I'd be remiss if I didn't show you Jamaica Me Crazy on it's own as it's so pretty by itself.  The polish is a shimmery magenta from Essie and such a bright colour, I love it.  Application was decent, the pictures below are two coats.  I don't have too many Essie polishes as I'm always attracted to the crazy glitters like a bower-bird but this one will do as it's very shimmery.

The Verdict:  Both winners in my book, both in appearance, application and ridiculous names.  I do love the glitter slightly more, but that's just me and my patch of brain cells that appears to exist solely to go "ahhhhahsdfasdfasdf" at glitters.  It did that for the Sephora so yay!

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the big...

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?
