Retro 70's Watermarble Nails with Sparkly Lizards!

No matter how many times it kicks me in the face, I can't give up on watermarbling.  It works just often enough that I blame myself for any errors and my faith in it working one day lives on.  I got it to work though the other day and to celebrate I slapped on teeny sparkly lizards.  Only the best celebrations for me!

GUYS GUYS GUYS I OPENED A SHOP!!

GUYS GUYS GUYS LOOK I DID A THING!  I've been light on the blogging lately because I've been working really hard on a totally new thing: THE SPARKLY SHOP!! I've been incredibly obsessed with nail charms lately and kinda got carried away buying them to the point where I realised I could totally sell them.  I wanted to show you some of my favourites here, and to let you know you can get 15% of any charms if you use the discount code BLOGGYPANTS.  OMG SO EXCITING YOU GUYS.  First up, we have the magnificent bicycle charms !  Enamel, rhinestones and gold for bike complete with a basket and pedals.  I nearly died.  Next, Zebras !  The teeniest little guys, all stripy and whatnot. You know you want a safari on your nails.  These are not holographic as I'm sure they've been described as before, but in fact multichrome rainbow cubes!  Yeah.  And pearls.  And sparklies. It's ok if you aren't into safaris, what abou...

MWHAHAHAHA STILL NOT CRAY I SWEAR, JUST ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT CHARMS

It's hardly a secret that I like sparkly things.  Glitter?  Awesome. Sparkly tiny charms? Also awesome.  I've had so many new awesome ones I knew it was time to do Crazy Tacky Nails 2!  I love that it's hard here to tell where my nails stop and the ring begins.  Yay for charms!  Let's take a closer look, shall we?

HAHAHAH I'M NOT CRAY DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN THESE ARE NORMAL NAILS

Ok so for a while there I wasn't working.  Love that, it's the best, cos sleeping is awesome.  While I should have been using the time to pump out the nails, I used it to go through all 283 pages of the nail art supplies section of aliexpress.com. This site is really amazing, cos it's so cheap.  You can get 10,000 rhinestones for $3.  So I bought a bunch of 3D nail charms.  I then decided it would be a good idea to put them all on at one.  TACKYTIME YAY ADHERE ALL THE THINGS!

Panda Nails!

So this particular manicure has a bit of a story behind it.  I've been making it my mission lately to exercise more and to help me make more progress I've been seeing a great personal trainer.  He's so good, he actually takes an interest in my nails and helps me brainstorm ideas.  His suggestions last night were E.T., angry birds, city skyline and pandas.  That's dedication for you.  Anyway, I had to go with pandas so time for more questionable painting skill displays! To start, two coats of Nicole by OPI "Baby" Blue from the Justin Bieber collection.  Oh how I hate myself for that, but it was on sale and a nice sky blue, so lalalala totes not Justin Bieber.  Next, I painted the head and body of the bear with white acrylic paints, followed by the face, limbs and bamboo.  And the sun.  It came out reasonably cute but I think I prefer my giraffe nails at this point.  It's practice! The Verdict: Cute idea, needs more pr...

GIRAFFE!!

Alrighty everyone, time for something different! I've been toying with the idea of doing one of those manis that go across all your nails, just finding the right design has been tricky.  Inspired by an image I saw on pinterest (I really have to start writing down where I find things) I decided to give a very long-necked giraffe a try with my acrylic paints.  HE CAME OUT SO CUTE I COULD DIIIE. First up, I started with two coats of Nicole by OPI "Baby" Blue from the Justin Bieber collection.  Wow that hurts to type, but I got it on sale, I swear.  It's a really nice sky blue, by the way, smooth to apply and not streaky.  If you can get past the JB bit, it's not bad.  Next, I painted on the giraffe outline with my Burnt Umber paint.  I still need practice with paints but I found that if I wiped a lot of my paint off first, I got a flatter, more even application.  I then drew in the splotches, face, grass, tree and what is supposed to be a little...
