Review: Essie Nothing Else Metals

You may be sensing something of a theme here - Essie chrome polishes!  I've been keeping my polish purchasing low lately but was just unable to resist these two polishes. I then just had to try them out, cos shiny.  Let's take a look at the second chrome polish from Essie's Mirror Metallics collection, Nothing Else Metals. Dammit, the name is terrible but the polish is pretty.  Nothing Else Metals is a slow lavender chrome polish, very much Jem dolls from the early 90's but in the best way possible.  I swear I had a dress for her in this exact colour.  One thing I noticed about these polishes is that when you first apply it, the brush strokes are really visible but after about 30 seconds they disappear, which is kinda cool.  I love the colour of this polish but man, does it show all the imperfections in your nails.  Given the amount I change my nails, they take a beating (I'll miss you, middle nail :( ) but it usually doesn't show this badly in th...

Snow and Ice Glittery Mani Featuring Sephora Indi-go With the Flow

 I picked up this lovely indigo (ish) glitter at Sephora during my annual bonus mega haul  and have been trying to come up with a way to put it to good use.  Looking through my stash, I thought it might go well with an interesting Sally Hansen Complete Manicure polish I picked up at the same time.  Together, they make a lovely icy, snowing mani, good with the snow we've been having recently. Indi-go With the Flow is an indigo glitter in small and large pieces, in a clear base.  It almost looks silver on the nail which takes away a lot of the unique-ness.  On, it's really not that interesting.  In the bottle it looks like it could go all the way to actually being, well, indigo, but as you can see it just doesn't translate. Underneath the glitter is Sally Hansen Complete Manicure in Lavender Cloud.  This one is actually interesting as it's soooo close to being white and yet can still be called lavender.   I just haven't seen any...
