Snow and Ice Glittery Mani Featuring Sephora Indi-go With the Flow

I picked up this lovely indigo (ish) glitter at Sephora during my annual bonus mega haul  and have been trying to come up with a way to put it to good use.  Looking through my stash, I thought it might go well with an interesting Sally Hansen Complete Manicure polish I picked up at the same time.  Together, they make a lovely icy, snowing mani, good with the snow we've been having recently. Indi-go With the Flow is an indigo glitter in small and large pieces, in a clear base.  It almost looks silver on the nail which takes away a lot of the unique-ness.  On, it's really not that interesting.  In the bottle it looks like it could go all the way to actually being, well, indigo, but as you can see it just doesn't translate. Underneath the glitter is Sally Hansen Complete Manicure in Lavender Cloud.  This one is actually interesting as it's soooo close to being white and yet can still be called lavender.   I just haven't seen any...

Zoya Indigo's Secret Micro Holo + Bonus Glitter

Here today we have a polish I've been meaning to swatch for a while: Zoya Indigo.  I grabbed this one as soon as I saw it as it has everything I like in a polish - blue, duochrome and with a smattering of tiny holo particles.  On the nail, however, it wasn't earth-shattering.  Sure, it's a really nice navy and sure, application was easy at two coats but the micro glitter was really lost on application.  Sure, you can see one or two tiny glints but it just doesn't match up to the bottle, which is disappointing.  If you're looking for a nice new navy though, you could do a lot worse.     As I had a little time on my hands, I thought I'd see what this looked like with some real holo glitter on top.  I received American Apparel Light Year from a promotion a while back and thought I'd see how it looked with the Zoya.  Super sparkly on but there's something bothers me a little about this.  The application was good too - what you see below...
