MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?

NEON FLOWER EYE MELTY GOODNESS

Alrighty!  So I recently got a hold of some very interesting flower glitter as a sample for the shop .  In the past I've stayed away because I've found it really hard to work with because it either won't lay flat or it's too thick or it sticks up or something, and generally just hasn't really been worth it.  UNTIL NOW.  Now, not only is this glitter thin enough to behave it also literally explodes under blacklight.  LOOK AT IT.  Makes me want to carry around my blacklight bulb all the time...more....

31DC2014 Day X: Flowers! Lots of them!

Less complaining, more nails is now my motto and dammit that's a thing I'mma do.  Let's call these my nails for the Flowers prompt of the 31DC2014.  I rarely have a concrete idea in mind when I do my nails and this a good idea of how an idea evolves into pretty decent nails, if I do say so myself.  Let's take a look, shall we?

Review: OPI Incognito in Sausalito with Glitter Triangle Half Moons!

I get asked a lot about how often I do my nails.  It's every day.  Unless I'm sleeping.  That means though that you guys don't get to see all the nails I do.  I have to like how the photos came out, how well I cleaned up, etc for me to actually post it.  So these nails were from a little while ago and I think they'll do for today.  Let's take a look at OPI Incognito in Sausalito, shall we?

Red on Red Glitter Mosaic

Oh the sad sad state of affairs it is to try to take pictures of red nails.  I have a reasonably fancy camera and a white light lightbox but still, it's just not true to life.  If it were, you'd see just how amazing American Apparel Neon Red looks with differently shaped red holographic glitter applied on top of it.  These are so sparkly and contrasty in real life yet look a little dead here.  Imagine the most neony red from when you were a kid and you might be closer. I had some time the other night so I thought I'd play around a bit with different patterns in the glitter.  I love a uniform pattern but can't let things get too repetitive now.  I started out with the checkered pattern (with my usual technique) using the diamond glitter then let things get a bit crazzzzzzy with the flower, triangle and the lightning patterns.  I think my favourite would have to my index finger with the lightning pattern, I'm especially pleased with the border. ...
