Neon Color Club Watermarbling with Gold Unicorns!

Oh hi!  Did you have a good holiday/break time thing?  I did.  I did lots of sleeping which, when it's cold, is just about my favourite thing.  So cozy, with so much cat hugging time cos she's cold too.  I've been doing some nails but I've just not been super feeling many of them.  My real nails have having a bit of a rough time with the weather and then using acrylics doesn't help in the long term.  Anyway, time for some eye-meltingly bright neon watermarbling!  With gold unicorns!  Cos they go with everything!  Woo!

My favourite thing about doing my own acrylics is that I get to experiment with the nail shape without having to actually commit to changing my real nails.  Turns out I really like almond shaped nails.  Not super pointy, just a shape like an almond.  Turns out said shape makes watermarbling be even more awesome than normal.  I picked up a neon set of Color Club polishes from Winners and they make for excellent marbling.  I've found that the newer the polishes, the better the result.  This turned out perfectly even in terms of spread because all the polishes were the same.  Also, liquid latex works really well to tape off your nails.  The unicorns were just stuck on as usual with nail glue.

The Verdict:  Love neon, love almonds, love unicorns, so of course this is win for me :D

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the biggest tag on y

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

All the ILNP Ultrachromes! Like Shiny Beetles!

Guess what guys, it's not glitter today!  Instead, I have the incredibly amazing ILNP Ultrachrome polishes to show you!  I saw a picture of these on the ILNP site and gasped out loud when I saw the colour shift.  I totally didn't sit for an hour at work, refreshing the page when the preorders went up.  That would be silly.  I was so excited when they arrived as they looked as amazing in the bottle as they did on the site.  I swatched each polish over black, took the photos, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the finish to a place where I was satisfied.  I'm sure it's something about the way I was applying it, but there would be little bumps or inconsistencies in the finish and it was annoying.  So I didn't post them.  I gave them another shot in a taped mani and YES THIS IS BETTER LOOK:
