OMGWTFJSKDJSLDJ 24 COLOURS OF TEENY RAINBOW SQUARES AM DED

Ok! Long time no see, blah blah, look, new glitter!  CAN YOU EVEN WITH 24 DIFFERENT COLOURS OF 1MM SQUARES???!!? SPARKLY, SPARKLY SQUARES.  Seriously, the glitter is so sparkly and the squares nice and even, you can create even the most intricate patterns.  OMG I SHOULD DO MARIO.  Shh, pretend I didn't say that.  Anyway, shall we look at the newest glitter available at The Sparkly Shop?

Alrighty! So squares work just like hexes in terms of glitter placement.  You might say even easier because there's only two ways the pieces can be rotated, unlike hexes.  It would be nice to have perfect squares but when you're dealing with this scale, I'm not fussed they're slightly rectangular.  At least they're all the same amount rectangular!  I started here with my usual black base - two coats - then went to work with my usual slow top coat.  I'm still using Essence top coat because it's cheap and decent to work with.  Applying a thin stripe of TC down the middle of my nail, I started with my usual center column of glitter.  If you pay attention to the alignment and spacing in this first column, it's much easier to build out either side, following the same pattern.  Just keep at it, and make sure you top everything off with lots of top coat to seal everything in,

The Verdict:  I love this glitter so much.  I didn't even think I could get this many colour variations so :D.  Plus sparklies.

1MM Square glitter is available from The Sparkly Shop, starting at $6.99.  Use SPARKLY10 to get 10% off your order!

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the biggest tag on y

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

All the ILNP Ultrachromes! Like Shiny Beetles!

Guess what guys, it's not glitter today!  Instead, I have the incredibly amazing ILNP Ultrachrome polishes to show you!  I saw a picture of these on the ILNP site and gasped out loud when I saw the colour shift.  I totally didn't sit for an hour at work, refreshing the page when the preorders went up.  That would be silly.  I was so excited when they arrived as they looked as amazing in the bottle as they did on the site.  I swatched each polish over black, took the photos, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the finish to a place where I was satisfied.  I'm sure it's something about the way I was applying it, but there would be little bumps or inconsistencies in the finish and it was annoying.  So I didn't post them.  I gave them another shot in a taped mani and YES THIS IS BETTER LOOK:
