Did I Go Overboard With the Glitter?

You might have noticed that I have something of a thing for my rainbow glitter right now.  I can't help it.   I've completely ruined my aesthetic for anything non-ridiculous.  It's so bad that I couldn't even stick to a black base, I had to replace it with the most ridiculously neon orange.  See how strange my fingers look?  That's cos I stunned my camera's sensor.  I'm even having trouble typing this as I keep getting distracted by these pictures.  Oh, and today still ends in "y", so that clearly makes it ok for moar glitter!

So I couldn't decide what pattern to do with the glitter.  I had an idea of doing columns of glitter in the full rainbow but alternating the order.  I did this on my thumbnail but the pattern didn't quite turn out like I hoped.  Screw it, said I, imma go crazy.  Thus, the below images!  I can't even decide which pattern I like the most.  Certainly not the middle, but eh.  I think my ring finger is the most wearable pattern (heh) but I also really like how my index and pinkie turned out.  See here for the tutorial on how to apply the glitter.  In case you're wondering, the base colour here is Urban Outfitters Tiny Shorts.  It's an amaze-balls orange, I recommend.

The Verdict:  Yep, love how this turned out despite it making me look just a little crazy.  Just as well I work in an all male office.  I don't even think they noticed :)

  1. No. No you did not. These look amazing!! And honestly, if you're gonna go nuts, this cheerful, orange background is perfect for it!

I think my favourite is the index finger. I'm usually not that wild about chevrons, but these look like an awesomely bedazzled back pocket. ;)

  3. C'mon, this is so pretty and shiny and cheerful you can't be seriously asking if you went overboard.
I think if I went nuts wit glitter, I'd put it on sandwich, so you're good :D

  4. Again I ask you-how much free time do you have in your life to do all these glitter designs? HAHAHA! They are still stunning and I love them, just not enough to do myself!

  5. You really make it seem sо easy with уour presentation but I find thіs mattеr to be
aсtually ѕοmethіng that I think I
ωoulԁ neveг understand. It seеms too comρlicаted and very
broad for mе. I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
