Matte Pink Sparkles - American Apparel Neon Violet and Kleancolor Born to the Purpl

I have been on quite the polish spree tonight!  The last look, and one I'm going to stick with, is a really awesome matte neon pink glitter!  I have my wonderful friend Marlo's birthday tomorrow night so I'm ready with this hot pink mani.  Starting off, we have American Apparel Neon Violet.  This really is one of my new favourites.  What you seen here (admittedly a bit buried) is one coat!  The colour is to die for too.  Next, we have a very thick coat of KleanColor Born to the Purple.  As much as I love it in the bottle, it SUCKS to apply.  You end up with a huge thick coat just to get some of the large glitter pieces on there.  And it smells weird.  Anyone know why KleanColors smell so strangely?  Anyway, this is all topped off with a coat of Joe Fresh Matte Top Coat.  I LOVE the final result.  So neon, yet matte, the contrast is great.

On to the pictures!

Also, if there are any ladies coming to the Reddit Toronto Monthly Meetup, come say hi!

  2. Really really love the matte with the glitter. Going to have to try this, I picked up a matte top coat a while back and hardly ever use it.

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the biggest tag on y

I'm a Proper Mermaid This Time Beeeeaches

Ermerger guys, I don't have any glitter on me!  Well, I do, just on my nails.  I always have glitter on me.  And cat fluff.  It's funny how often my bf comes home with glitter in his beard.  That means it's been there all day... Anyway, new nail vinyls mean something a bit different.  I swear I'm not actually obsessed with mermaids, it just seems like it... Anyway, again, shall we?

FULL RAINBOW GLITTER INSANITYYYYYYYY

I don't know what it is, but there's something about hex glitter that is very pleasing to me.  The tessellation, the way the colours can interlace, it's just great.  The problem is, the tiny glitter - my favourite - is actually quite difficult to find. The red, especially, difficult to track down.  I FINALLY FOUND SIXTEEN COLOURS BIATCHES.  THUS, RAINBOW-Y-EST RAINBOWS EVER AND I'm sharing too at the The Sparkly Shop ... But we're here for this rainbow today.  LOOK AT THIS WOULD YOU.
