Mini Haul!

A friend of mine and I made a trip up to Sally Beauty today which can only mean one thing: mini haul!  I'm always excited to go there as it's the only place in Toronto I know of that stocks Orly, one of my favourite brands.

I managed to pick up Orly Royal Navy and Goth, Ultra Pro Punki Purple and Blu Blaze, Savvy Chocolate Deju Blue (that's a cool name) and Deep Amethyst and a tiny bottle of a neon orange Sally Girl.  Check back soon, I'll be swatching these in the next few day!

Finally, I actually managed to find nail wheels so I'll actually be able to swatch out my collection!  When I'm in a fume-resistant mood, I'll get these babies going

  1. Yay, Royal Navy :D It's my bf's favourite colour on me, and for good reason. Soooooo pretty.

3D Glitter Cubes Over Orly Smoked Out

Ok!  So.  Stuff.  I've had an interesting few weeks lately.  My mum came to visit and we got to surprise her with a trip to Curacao and it was so awesome.  I saw soo many fish, seriously, if you like diving or snorkeling even a little it's like paradise.  All this plus work means blogging is hard so here's something I did a little while ago.  It's glitter, but it doesn't take a million years to do.  Hooray! Sparklies, stuff, blah let's go.

NEON FLOWER EYE MELTY GOODNESS

Alrighty!  So I recently got a hold of some very interesting flower glitter as a sample for the shop .  In the past I've stayed away because I've found it really hard to work with because it either won't lay flat or it's too thick or it sticks up or something, and generally just hasn't really been worth it.  UNTIL NOW.  Now, not only is this glitter thin enough to behave it also literally explodes under blacklight.  LOOK AT IT.  Makes me want to carry around my blacklight bulb all the time...more....

31DC2014 Day 17: Glitter! AKA OH GOD THE CRUSHING PRESSURE

The challenge isn't going super well for me.  I could do it, but it's bringing up this whole complex mess of procrastination, pressure and something undefinable that makes me just want to avoid doing it.  I feel like I'm rebelling when I don't do a day.  Screw you Past Laura, you can't tell me what to do!  Add the pressure of choosing something for "Glitter", well, that's clearly not going to be done on time.  It's late, but look, rainbows!
