Cobalt Blue and Super Sparkley: Sally Hansen Co-balt Blue and Such a Go-Glitter

I had a little free time the other night so I thought I'd give a favourite glitter another go-around.  Nicole by OPI Such a Go-Glitter is quite unique with tons of tiny blue glitters, interspersed with sparkly holo particles.  The glitter is so thick I just had to check if the base was clear or blue too!  I've tried this one a long time ago over Sally Hansen Navy Baby but I thought I'd give a brighter blue, Sally Hansen Co-balt Blue, a shot.

As you can see, the cobalt is a really beautiful colour.  I'm always fond of blues but this one was rich and multi-dimensional.  This is two coats.

Next, we have two coats of the glitter.  Look how much it sparkles when the camera is out of focus!  It's really the only way I've found that really highlights just how glittery this one comes out.  It's not the greatest match with the cobalt as the glitter is just too much of a match with the base colour.  Over something darker the blue glitter stands out more.

The verdict:  these are both great polishes.  I've been really impressed lately at how cheaply you can pick up the Sally Hansen range and the colours are good.  I do love a holo glitter too!

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the big...

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?
