Review: Lacquistry I Wear My Jewellery on My Nails and Devil's Dandruff!

It is a happy day indeed for me today.  Not only did I get EIGHT Lacquistry polishes in the mail today (that's what I get for looking at Etsy when I'm a little drunk) but I booked flights to go back to Australia for two weeks with my wonderful friend Marlo! So excited I had to use the most sparkliest polish in the whole world to celebrate!  Today I'll be looking at Lacquistry I Wear My Jewellery on My Nails and the lovely Marlo will be showcasing Devil's Dandruff.  Please excuse the number of exclamation marks above and inevitably below, it's been quite the exciting evening!

First up, let's take a look at the polish that immediately jumped out at me as I unpacked all my lovely polishes tonight, I Wear My Jewellery on My Nails.  This one's going to be a little hard to describe as it's a jumble of the most mirror-like holo hexes I've ever seen, tiny silver and holo glitter and holo bar glitter!  Hot damn did this come out sparkly.  What you see in the pictures below is two coats over Sally Hansen Celeb City as I wasn't sure how opaque this one would be.

I can practically see myself in these glitters!

Just drink in how much glitter's in here.  I really wish I knew of a good tool to make gifs easily, as this would be so much better moving :)
The Verdict:  I'm always a fan of Lacquistry polishes purely for the unique factor but wow, do I love I Wear My Jewellery on My Nails.  I just haven't seen glitter come out this reflective in a polish before, it was like wearing little mirrors on my nails.  As much as bar glitter bugs me, I absolutely love this one, my favourite from Lacquistry to date.

Next up, Devil's Dandruff, a red shredded glitter as seen modelled by Marlo! I'm happy with the rate at which my shredded glitter collection is growing, this brings me up to three!  As Marlo described it, this is one seriously vamp polish.  When layered on top of a darker red polish, it creates a really unique effect. Application was standard for a chunky glitter, what you see in the pictures below is two coats over Rimmel Lava Red.

DOn't you love the texture of the glitter?  Give me anything other than hexagons and I'm happy.

The Verdict:  A nice glitter but I have seen a few other shredded polishes lately.  It's super pretty when layered over a red or black though, so can't go wrong really.

Although Jenna over at Lacquistry has closed her store for a few days to catch up on orders, you can find her polishes at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Lacquistry for ~$8 USD.

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the biggest tag on y

Review: JENsations Stars in Space and S'mores

Guess what everyone?  I'm going to review some indie polishes that you can actually buy without having to wait for email messages!  Yay!  And sparkly too!  Imagine all the holo glory as while my lightbox produces lovely even white light, it saps any and all rainbows from manis, leaving me to try to take pictures in my kitchen like a barbarian.  It may not sound that hard but when you use a manual focus 60mm macro lens that has a wafer-thin depth of field, it's not the easiest.  Anyway, let's take a look at two, that's right, two, beautiful polishes from JENsations , Stars in Space and S'mores. First up, Stars in Space.  I started with two coats of Zoya Caprice, a very bright purple creme that you'll be seeing a lot of as it makes for a great base.  Next, two coats of Stars in Space, the most fabulous mix of silver holo glitter.  There's stars, squares (man, I love square glitter), hexes and micro glitter.  I liked this one as there was enough glitter on
