Lacquistry Tepes Swatches!

I think I'm going to stick to my rule for making posts: when in doubt, review another Lacquistry polish!  I've been making it my mission lately to try as many indie polishes as I can but Lacquistry keeps on being my favourite.  Nerd Lacquers are a very close second but who could resist someone that makes polishes like Tepes?

Tepes is an absolute glitter bomb with all manner of bronze glitters packed in a slightly tinted base.  That would be good on it's own but it also somehow manages to be duochrome as well.  Bronze in some lights, pink/purple in others, it's just so pretty.  Application was really good on this one as well, this is three coats and is fully opaque, no base colour.  I hope Jenna keeps doing the dense glitters like this as they're much easier to work with than the large-hex glitters, as much as I love them.

SOOOOO MMMUUCCCHH GLITTTTERRRRAAAAAA

The Verdict:  I'm eagerly awaiting the Lacquistry etsy store to open as it's been closed for the past couple of weeks.  I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed more glitter.  Also, Tepes is beautiful and I really don't have anything else like it in my stash.  I mean, bronze with pink/purple colour shifts?  Awww yeaah.

  1. Wooooow. I can't wait until Laquistry's etsy opens up again, because of you I'll be placing a big order! I heard that the lady who runs it has been unwell lately, I hope she's feeling better.

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! If, like me, you like sparklies to the point where it's the big...

Review: Sephora X Outburst

As you can imagine, I was pretty excited when the new Sephora X polishes came out.  Not only were there a million of them, but I could go see them in person, circling the huge stand and singling out my prey.  I'm not the most happy that the good ones are FIFTEEN dollars each but what am I going to do, not buy any?? That's silly.  I have few now but my favourite so far as to be the incredibly Outburst.  LOOK AT IT:

MOAR FLOWERS, NOW SPARKLY

Ok! So you may be feeling a sense of deja vu but WHO CARES SPARKLIES.  I actually did this flower mani before the neon one - I held the the neon glitter under my blacklight and there was no way I could not immediately apply it to my nails. Running The Sparkly Shop just continues to have perks...  And yes, I do have a blacklight bulb that handy.  Anyway, this glitter is just as amazing as the neon, it's RIDICULOUSLY sparkly.  Same thinness, nice and easy to work with.  Let's take a look, shall we?
